Vassar College

Vassar College is located on a suburban campus in Poughkeepsie, NY, about two hours from New York. It has around 2,500 undergraduate students, about 9% of whom are from other countries, and accepts approximately 40% of early-decision applicants and 22% of regular-decision applicants.

The SAT or ACT is required at Vassar for international students. Competitive scores* range from 1370 to 1530 on the SAT and from 31 to 34 on the ACT. Vassar has no minimum TOEFL score for admission, but 100 or above is considered competitive.

Vassar meets students’ full need with financial aid but is need-aware in admissions for international students (those who request financial assistance are less likely to be admitted). The average financial-aid award for international students is approximately US$56,000 per year. Vassar does not offer merit-based scholarships to international students.
